I quite like clocks and I do take a disproportionate number of photos of them if I see ones I like. For instance, here are a few from recent weeks.
My favourite by far is the 18ft diameter, 23 carat gold magnificent Dent station clock in St Pancras. It’s iconic, it’s huge and dominates the eyeline when you come off a Eurostar from the continent.
So to say it was sad when the clock wasn’t working properly was an understatement. It happened just after the clocks went back at the beginning of April. It did not stop, it almost seemed to go backward or at a speed that never seemed to be consistent. And the odd times lasted for nearly TWO weeks.
